Houston, We Have a Cover

I’m finally authorized to share the cover of my debut picture book! This project has been years in the making, and while I’ve seen sketches along the way, nothing quite compares to seeing the final art. I can only imagine what it will feel like to hold it in my hands, in actual book form. The countdown is ON!

“My Big Dumb Invisible Dragon” is about a little boy who experiences a sudden and tragic loss—and the simultaneous arrival of an invisible dragon who weighs him down, casts a shadow over him, and follows him everywhere. Will he successfully drive the dragon away—or will he learn to make peace with his uninvited guest? Find out July 23, 2019!

You guys, how darling is this little red-headed boy? And the dragon! Looking down with such concern. (And he’s wearing invisible BOOTS!) It’s even better than I imagined. The illustrator, Birgitta Sif, was selected by my publisher, and I couldn’t be more thrilled. She’s from Iceland but currently living in the U.K., which only adds to the cool factor in my book. Check out some of her other books here.
