Awesome: Two blond cousins, 10 years apart, one from Alaska and one from Utah, showing up to the kiddie pool in matching Old Navy swimsuits, quite by accident.
Awesome: Waiting for a large pepperoni at Rock Creek Pizza Co. with my niece, Riley, and starting an impromptu Doodlejump tournament, while we sipped a Diet Dr. Pepper/Lemonade mixture out of two straws in a shared styrofoam cup. FYI: Styrofoam is very easy to write on with ball point.
Awesome: The fact that Riley and I could both claim victory. I achieved the highest single-game score (15,023), but Riley won 8 out of the 10 matches.
Not awesome: Wildfires. Utah has been on fire for much of the last month. This is the view from my front yard of a recent fire in the next county over.
Awesome: Summer.
