Have yourself a merry little listen--to the latest episode of The Paperclipping Roundtable, featuring Noell and Izzy Hyman, Ana Cabrera, Nancy Nalley, and me! We talked and talked and talked about holiday decor and gifts. Lots of fabulous ideas were shared.
Here are the things discussed that I'm particularly excited about...
1. Ana Cabrera's Handmade Holiday entries all through December, over at her craftification.com blog. You can follow along as she creates cool projects and gifts every day until Christmas. I can't wait to see the giant candy decor she's planning to add to her Dr. Seuss-style holiday wall.
2. Tim Holtz' 12 Tags of Christmas. My crafting style is not quite this elaborate, and projects like these rely on far more tools than I have in my arsenal, but I can definitely appreciate this approach to art and creativity. And today's post solidified my desire to have this for Christmas:
3. Nancy Nalley's Family Tag Feud over at Scrapbookupdate.com. Inspired by Tim Holtz, she and her husband are each creating one tag per day, and of course they turned it into a competition. We get to vote on which we like better each day. Nancy's husband is a paper-crafting newbie, but you'd never guess it from looking at the tags.
And here are links to the projects and products I mentioned on the show:
My alphabet advent calendar
Adorn-it's 15 x 15 wooden shadow box
Kaisercraft 12-frame photo display (which won't necessarily work for the usage I mentioned in the show, but it's still cool)
The Racy Regency flip calendar handmade gift
Erika Hernandez's calendars at twopeasinabucket.com: 2010 and 2011
