I can't thank you all enough for your kind words and incredible support. I cry all over again when I read through the comments. We are so excited, and I've definitely been kicked into creative high gear. I'm refinishing dressers, moving furniture, creating new wall art, gathering ideas, shopping, and nesting, nesting, nesting.
I scored a whole pile of barely used baby shoes this weekend at a friend's yard sale. (She lives in a far wealthier neighborhood than I do, and her friend and co-yard saler happens to be a shopoholic when it comes to her kids' clothes. Some of the $2 shoes still had the tags on them!)
I feel very lucky for the offers of baby furniture and other gear from trusted family and friends. I believe in borrowing! And I'm planning to register for other things I need this week.

1.) What's your favorite brand of diapers for newborns vs. older babies? I'd like to have a tiny bit of a stockpile before the big day.
2.) What is one baby item that you wish you HADN'T invested in, realizing it's all just hype?
3.) When it comes to baby gear, what are your "must haves"?
4.) Do you have a recommendation for an awesome yet affordable carseat & stroller combo?
