Of COURSE I forgot to take my camera with me. And while many decent photos were taken at the salon yesterday by other people, I do not have any of them in my possession.
From the iPhone...
I'm on the left with the single ponytail, and Wendy's on the right with the double. She has twice as much hair as I do, but that's okay because I beat her by 2 inches in length. (Not that it's a competition, of course.)
Wendy's is just about done; I'm still underway.
A pinwheel of hair from me, Megan, Wendy, and Becky Olsen, who joined us for the cuts as well. They look MUCH blonder in these pictures than they are in real life.
A bad, faraway shot of us holding our shorn hair. (See? These photos are TERRIBLE.)
From the iMac webcam:
Why no makeup? Because I left it at the salon. Ugh. And this is how it looks AFTER I've slept on it all night. Gotta love a 'do that will last overnight.
Really, I don't think photos are doing this justice. It looks so much better in 3D.
The Best Story of the Day
I picked Jeremy up from school right after the haircut. He barely looked at me or noticed what I looked like, as teenage boys are apt to do. After about 10 minutes of driving and shooting the breeze, I just handed him the ponytail of hair.
"What the...?" he said, then he looked at me. "Whoa! Holy crap!"
"It's a Katie Holmes hairdo." I said.
"Well, don't expect me to jump up and down on the couch for ya."
