This guy! Meet my husband Travis, who entered this world exactly 6 years and 10 days before I did. He drew this self-portrait last year using pen and ink. He then scanned it and colorized it in Adobe Photoshop. As you can see, he's very proud of his Norwegian/Viking heritage. And while he does enjoy experimenting with his facial hair, it has never been quite long enough to braid. (Thanks be to all that is good and holy!)
And here is an avatar he created of himself at this website, next to the avatars he created for me (nice cleavage!) and 14-year-old Jeremy.
Finally, here is a non-cartoon depiction of Travis. He does a pretty good job with the self-portraits, eh? Note: He got this iPhone for his birthday last year. He didn't get anything nearly that cool this year, partially due to my current employment status.
Here are 10 random things I love about Trav:
1. He designed my blog for me, and he even drew the sweet quail that adorns my banner.
2. He's exactly the right mix of artistic and practical to suit me. He's both very creative and very grounded.
3. He's a wonderful dad.
4. He makes me laugh like no one else can.
5. He loves a clean house so much that he does at least half of the housework.
6. He's willing to do all the gross things that have to be done for our dog Ruby: scooping poop, cleaning her ears when she has a yeast infection (in her ears), administering antibiotics, clipping toenails, etc.
7. He's one of the good guys: ethical, trustworthy, hardworking, down-to-earth, humble.
8. He likes to cuddle. If Jeremy and I aren't around, he'll snuggle with the dog.
9. He's big and strong. You should see his calves; they're definitely worthy of a Viking.
10. He tells me he loves me or that I'm pretty (or both) every single day.
